I was supposed to get up early, as I usually would to go to school. I got up at my normal wake up time, but I was still really tired, so I didn't go to school that day. I got to spend the day at home making sure I had everything ready for our flight. We had to fly to Toronto, then to our final destination Quebec. Our flight to Toronto was at 2:10 PM, so we left a little early to get there in time. We got all our stuff in the car, and started the drive to the airport. We parked our car at Park and Fly. We got the shuttle to the airport, and did all the things everyone else would do when traveling, stand in line-get, tickets-go, through security- then go to the gate. It gets really boring when you have to stand in line, but you got to do what you got to do nowadays~~~~!!!!

When we were going through security, the only problem they had was with my camera bag, for some reason they checked it but they let it through. I think it was the camera that would have set anything off. It was all good, and we walked to our gate to make sure we weren't late. We had some extra time so my dad and I walked back to see the other airplanes that were there. I saw an Air Canada A319 that was heading to Toronto as well.

I got a few pictures of the plane, and then headed back to our gate to watch our plane taxi in to the gate (It didn't come in yet). I got a few pictures of that as well. Then it was time to board the little Westjet 737 that was heading to Toronto. We were sitting in seats 3 A, B, C. The seats were not the best for airplane picture taking because we were a little too far up and the side I was on had the sun so I couldn't really take pictures. We taxied to runway 17R to take off; it wasn't that long of a taxi at all. Right when we got to the runway we taxied onto it and the pilot put full throttle, and we were off. I couldn't get that good of pictures because the sun was low and coming right through the window, so it showed every little spec there was. I also took some pictures of my parents being them inside the airplane descending into Toronto.

Coming up on Toronto, the sun was getting low and I was able to get some great sunset pictures. Once we went beneath the clouds, it didn't look like a sunset, just looked eerie.

We went in on a straight approach to the airport. We made a nice landing and we stopped very fast. Then we had to do the taxi part of the flight again. We had to go to the far terminal (3). When we got there, there were about 5 or 6 other Westjet planes there. Once we were at the gate, one advantage of sitting in the front is the first off. I was in the jet way when I looked out the window and saw a perfect photo opportunity. I took a few but they didn't come out really good, but overall they were good.

We had to go pick up our luggage unfortunately, they won't put them on the next flight, even though it was the same airline due to Canadian customs. We found our way to the connection flight baggage claim, and waited for our bags. We got them and then just rechecked them in, but before we got them checked in I grabbed my tripod, because I knew that I could do some night photography at the airport, and I wanted to test it out. Once we did that we tried to find a place to eat, we found a place called "The Swiss Chalet". My dad and I got the roasted chicken and my mom got the chicken pot pie. We ate slowly to kill the time away. But it came to an end and we left and headed to the gate. We found thisvstuffed moose and we decided to take pictures next to us. It was really cool in fact, it was all dressed up.

We found some seats by a window, and put all of our stuff down. I pulled out my tripod and camera and set it all up. I think I actually got some good night pictures, even though it was my first time doing it.

Once our flight time rolled around, we had to board. Our layover time was about 3 hours... Once we got on bored, I just sat there and looked at my pictures. Before I knew it we were pushing back, and taxing to the runway. It was night time so I was trying again, night pictures, but they are hard to do.

We took off and headed straight out to Quebec. It was about a 50 minute flight. I listened to music and tried to just relax. Before I knew it the 50 minutes were up and we were descending into Quebec. When we landed we did a really short stop because the runway conditions were not the most favorable, packed snow and ice. After we landed, and got to the gate, I went up to the pilots and I talked with them for awhile about the flight and everything, I also got some pictures but they didn't really come out that good.

When they left, I had to leave and my parents were waiting for me outside the gate. We went down to the baggage claim, and there were two really small ones, and it took quite a long time for the luggage to come out. It eventually came out and we grabbed it and headed out to find a taxi to drive us to our hotel. We found one and it was SOOO COLD OUTSIDE!! I didn't think it was going to be that cold, but I was wrong. The drive wasn't really that long, and we were staying at the Marriott Courtyard in Old Quebec. It was a little building, but had a lot of rooms. We checked in and headed up to our room to get unpacked and head to bed. I got unpacked quickly, got ready for bed, thanked my dad for the trip so far, said good night to my parents, and went to sleep.
