When we got to the airport about 7:15 AM and we didn't have anything for breakfast so my Mom and I went to Starbucks while my Dad went to the gate because he didnt want to stand in line. There was a long line. We all got Blueberry Muffins which we brought on the plane with us. My Mom only had a little of her muffin and my Dad had to eat the rest. Our flight was going to be about two hours. About an hour and a half my I-pod battery was to low and I couldn't listen or do anything for half an hour so I just looked at car magazines. My Mom was listening to music while she was reading. When we landed we had to wait about 40 minutes until our next flight so in that time my Dad turned on his laptop and we charged my I-pod so I could listen to it on our next flight that was about 40 minutes.
It was a short flight, not like the ones in the past that went on for hours. Once we approached the island, the water was so blue and clear. We came in right over the beach that I have seen many times on the web site I like to visit called Flight Level 350. [Click-Flight Level 350 Web Site]
When we got off the flight we had to walk down the steps of the plane as there was no jetway. When we went to get our luggage and there was so many people there and we had to force ourselves to the front of the luggage belt to get our our luggage and get out. When we got to our rental car place there was a red jeep there. The jeep was small so I was squished in the back with all the luggage and it was so hot back there because I had a backpack and a bag (Moms). After about an hour driving up and down steep roads and a little help from some locals, we finally found it. The Villa was on a mountain on the other side of the island. It has a gate you open up with a remote then there's a steep driveway that you have to go down. If you didn't stop you would go right off the end of the drive way down the mountain side and into the ocean below. At the end there are big rocks to stop you in case you forgot to use the car brake. The pool hung off the side of the mountain and there's a really good view from there, you can see the ocean and the island of Anguilla. It has a flat screen t.v. in the living room. My parents room has a King size bed and I had two twin size beds. The owner has an assistant that cleans the house and she was still cleaning it so he was talking to us outside and it was so hot I was sweating. While we waited for her to clean he had us follow him to the local supermarket to pick up some food like bread, milk, steak and other items for the next couple of weeks. When he left we had something to eat and took a walk down the trail towards the beach. We didn't realize how difficult a walk it would be until we started down the trail. Once we got to the beach, it was nice to go in the water an cool off. We looked back up the mountain side to the Villa and all said, now getting back up will be a lot harder......
Somewhere in between I lost my sunglasses!!!
