Today is the FIFA World Cup soccer game, France vs. Italy so we stayed home and relaxed. It was suggested we do that because the islanders can become a bit roudy. Later that day once the game was over we all went to the beach near the airport. The beach was at the end of the runway. We watched airplanes arrive and depart from the airport. If you stand behind the planes that are taking off you will get knocked over from the exhaust that comes out of the engines. It is very powerful. People were getting knocked over from it, sand was stirring up like a hurricane. People got knocked over, one guy actually got pushed into the water along with his video camera. Some planes were as big as the 747-400 and those engines are the most powerful. They have a bar and a restaurnat next to the beach to get something to drink and eat while watching the planes come in. When we were there a plane was about to take off then it aborted it's takeoff once it started down the runway becuase the rain was so heavy the plane disappeared and the Delta pilot couldn't see the mountain so they had to wait for it to stop and then it went again. Before we left we watched and took pictures and video of two 747 taking off and we were really close to the first one and I got knocked over to the ground,and boy did that hurt. When we left we stopped at a restaurant called the Argentina Steakhouse. My mom and I got fajitas and my Mom got the chicken and steak and I just got the steak. My Dad had the roasted chicken with baked potato. Then we headed home and layed down and watched t.v. My Mom and I played cards outside and I got bitten alive by mosquitos but my Mom didn't. It was a relaxing day, I spend the rest of the night looking at the video's I shot.
